I am a Richmond based professional actor, singer and voice artist. I'm also a dedicated acting coach and have been working with children and young people for over 20 years. After training at ArtsEd in London I appeared in many theatre productions, television series and films before discovering my real passion for voice acting and recording.

I have always loved teaching and coaching young performers. I helped set up and run the Early Stages department at Stagecoach in Kew for over a decade. Directing, devising and writing countless shows, concerts and workshops. I also frequently works with children from The Sylvia Young Theatre School.

Some of my recent projects include Dragon Rescue Riders (Dreamworks), Word Party (Jim Henson), Coco-Melon (Netflix) Yoo-Hoo To The Rescue (Netflix), Supermonsters (Netflix), Mimi’s World (Milkshake/ Ch5) and Hilda (Netflix). Jenny has dubbed countless films and tv shows including Asterix & Obelix, I May Destroy You, Game Of Thrones, Mary Poppins Returns, Downton Abbey, The Crown, The Vikings, Call The Midwife and The Gruffalo.

My tailored lessons are 30 minutes long and take place in my home in SW14 home during term term. Online lessons are also available on request. After a conversation with you I like to begin with an initial lesson where I will meet you and your child and assess your child's learning requirements.

After this initial lesson I will email you with my reccommendations on how your child can best begin their LAMDA or drama coaching journey.

Lessons will be weekly, in term time. During these classes I will prepare them for their exam whilst developing new skills, building confidence and having fun!

Taking an exam is in no way mandatory, but it can give some children a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction when they complete a milestone on their LAMDA journey.

WHAT ARE THE FEES?

£40 per 30 minute lesson

All lessons are private and individually tailored.

INTRODUCTORY EXAMS

Perfect for younger students and those that have never taken a LAMDA exam before. By learning the words of a fun poem from the likes of Michael Rosen or Valerie Bloom introductory learners can develop the ability to express themselves clearly while improving their memorisation and recall. Not only that, they are also gaining self-confidence as they talk about the things they love, like their favoirite toy, place or book. Theses conversations encourage learners to feel at ease with answering questions, listening and using description.

ACTING

The acting exam students develop their vocal, physical and interpretive skills while they delve into characters and explore the background of dramatic texts. Alongside producing authentic performances of their chosen scenes, they also gain an understanding of the context and characters within them. The students deliver two monolgues for the examination and will progress through the grades to develop clear speech, detailed character portrayal and an understanding of a playwright's style.

SPEAKING VERSE & PROSE

Students develop a whole host of skills, from speaking clearly and using voice projection, to improving memorisation and building an understanding of poetry and prose which supports English literature. As learners progress through the levels they interact with the texts, responding to them with imagination and using body language and expression to engage an audience.
